Aegean Wind Iris
Blessed with Broad, Spreading Form and Plenty of Ruffles!
A brand new Iris that is not only quite vigorous, but very beautiful, too! It's a reverse amoena (which means it has white falls and a different color on its standards), and Iris aficionados have been fascinated by this relatively new color scheme. In this case, the falls have a pale blue tint that is unusually pleasing against the blue-violet standards. And the flower form is true to modern Iris breeding, with rich ruffling and a broad, spreading shape that makes the most of the color in the landscape. A truly beautiful example of the 'new' Iris of today! Blooms open in midseason on tall, strong 43-inch stems.
